An exhibition titled Drawings, Paintings, and Sculptures by Duško Kašterović opened today in Šamac, featuring over 30 sculptures and 20 paintings.
The exhibition was opened at the “Stari Sat” Gallery by the Director of the Center for Culture, Milanka Blagojević, who noted that this is the first sculpture exhibition in this space and expressed satisfaction with the large number of visitors, including children from the local elementary school.
Blagojević added that Kašterović held seven solo exhibitions, two group exhibitions, one art colony, and one exhibition in Florence between 1989 and 2005.
She expressed hope that as many young people as possible would visit the exhibition, which will be on display for the next three weeks, and announced additional exhibitions during the Šamac Summer event starting on June 15.
Kašterović told SRNA that he began creating sculptures in childhood, working in all techniques, most often using clay and plasticine, as well as stone and wood.
His student, Željko Pavlović, said that Kašterović not only created works of art but also artists themselves, and that his pedagogical talent shaped his own life path.
