Thanks to the good relations between Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and Chinese President Xi Jinping, bilateral political ties are on an upward trajectory and represent an excellent foundation for improving foreign trade exchange, concluded Staša Košarac, Deputy Chair of the Council of Ministers, and Zhang Yu, Special Representative for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Our relations with China are an example of genuine friendly cooperation,” said Košarac after meeting with Zhang Yu on the sidelines of the “China-CEEC Expo” in Ningbo.
He noted that he used the opportunity to thank the Chinese leadership for its balanced stance toward Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially within the UN Security Council and regarding the illegitimacy of Christian Schmidt, as well as for its support for development and advancement within the country and encouragement of domestic consensus.
“I emphasized that President Dodik and Republika Srpska fully respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of China, the ‘One China’ principle, and non-interference in its internal affairs,” Košarac stated.
He pointed out that Republika Srpska strongly supports and welcomes President Xi Jinping’s global visions and initiatives, particularly the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative.
“China is more than just a political and economic partner to us. It is our friend, whose support is always timely, concrete, without conditions, but above all sincere and fraternal,” Košarac emphasized on Instagram.
