The Children’s Theatre of Republika Srpska will premiere the play “The Forgotten Tale” on May 22 at 6:00 PM, a performance designed for children aged three and up. This heartfelt and educational piece celebrates the storytelling of our grandmothers, bringing to life the magic of oral tales passed down through generations with an imaginative and visually rich stage production.
Adding special value to the play is the fact that part of the ensemble comes from Hungary, offering audiences a unique cultural fusion and collaborative theatrical experience.
The play is part of the program “The Year of the European Fairy Tale for Children,” and delivers not only a captivating visual experience but also an emotional message about the importance of preserving oral tradition.
“We’re about to present the premiere of The Forgotten Tale, directed by Andrej Boka. This will be the world premiere of a beautiful, gentle story co-written by Mina Petrić and Andrej Boka. It reflects their first encounter with the Banja Luka ensemble and marks their debut as authors at the Children’s Theatre of Republika Srpska,” said Ljiljana Labović, Director of the Children’s Theatre.
Director Andrej Boka explained that he and playwright Mina Petrić shared the same vision for ideal working conditions in theatre, emphasizing that this production should serve as a model of dedication and professional collaboration.
