President of Srpska speaks to Swiss weekly

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, gave an interview to Roger Köppel, publisher and editor-in-chief of the Swiss weekly Weltwoche, during his visit to Banja Luka.

Dodik stated that he is the target of criminal prosecution initiated by Muslim political structures in Sarajevo, as well as by certain international officials.

He recalled that a few years ago, a German national came to Bosnia and Herzegovina and was appointed as High Representative by several foreign embassies in Sarajevo.

— Although this is not in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement, which clearly states that the signatory parties must nominate and appoint the High Representative — specifically, five signatories of the Dayton Agreement. The High Representative is to be nominated by these parties and subsequently reviewed and confirmed by the United Nations — Dodik emphasized.

The President of Srpska added that none of this happened in the current case.

— Therefore, the states that signed the Dayton Peace Agreement did not nominate him, nor was his appointment confirmed by the UN Security Council — he said.

However, Dodik noted, this individual seems to believe that the support of the Biden administration and the government in Brussels is sufficient for him to act like a bull in a china shop.

— Have you ever heard of a constitution being suspended for 12 hours? Because that’s exactly what he’s doing. The constitution was in force until 10 a.m. today, then suspended for 12 hours, and then reinstated. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Encouraged by the U.S. government under Biden and partly by the Brussels administration, he made a decision that anyone who does not comply with and defies his ‘laws’ is committing a crime — said Dodik.
