The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, stated that the new constitution of Republika Srpska will be in line with the Dayton Peace Agreement. He emphasized that the institutions of Srpska are ready to engage in discussions with representatives of the Bosniak and Croat peoples to protect their rights and freedoms.
“Honorable deputies, do not miss this historic moment. Srpska has the right to make decisions regarding a new constitution,” Višković said during the parliamentary debate on the proposal to initiate the adoption of a new Constitution of Srpska.
Višković noted that there is no issue in retaining the Council of Peoples and vice presidents of Srpska in the new constitution, but it must clearly define what constitutes a vital national interest to prevent further abuses.
“We have only witnessed abuses. Anyone holding the title of vice president of Srpska, regardless of their ethnic background, must protect the interests of Republika Srpska,” Višković stated.
He added that he is not afraid of any court and is prepared to stand before any court in the world that operates according to laws, norms, and regulations.
“Why would I go before a court that has already written the verdict? What do I need that for?” Višković asked.
He reiterated that Christian Schmidt does not possess any legal document confirming his status as the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Višković stated that certain power centers have devised a plan to use unconstitutional courts and the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to confront Republika Srpska.
“Srpska was never meant to survive all these years after Dayton,” Višković said.
He added that Srpska will cease to exist if its property is taken away.
The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, also stated that Bosniaks in Srpska enjoy far greater rights than Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Responding to statements made by Bosniak deputies in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Višković warned them not to provoke, as Serbs in the Federation of BiH have almost no rights, and more than 150,000 of them were expelled from Sarajevo.
He emphasized that the institutions of Srpska will not be allowed to be undermined.
