Closing arguments in the case against the president of Republika Srpska and the acting director of the Official Gazette

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will hear the closing arguments today in the case against the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the acting director of the Official Gazette, Miloš Lukić, for allegedly disregarding the decision of Christian Schmidt.

Dodik’s lawyer, Goran Bubić, stated that the defense’s closing arguments will be based on a detailed analysis of the presented arguments.

The evidentiary proceedings concluded on February 5, when President Dodik reaffirmed that he is mandated to uphold the Constitutions of Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized that legally appointed high representatives had never directly issued decisions in the manner Schmidt has, whom he considers illegitimate.

This court process began on October 16, 2023. Should any verdict be rendered, the institutions of Republika Srpska are prepared to respond accordingly.
