Legal expert Ognjen Tadić stated that Republika Srpska is responding democratically to the manipulations and influence of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina by introducing a law on a special register and public transparency of nonprofit organizations. The aim of this legislation, he emphasized, is to clarify relationships and establish order.
Tadić asserted that USAID’s activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina are not about democracy, but rather a classic case of intelligence operations backed by massive financial resources.
- The admission by Elon Musk, a member of the U.S. Government Efficiency Team, that USAID has been used as a criminal instrument to expand U.S. dominance requires a thorough investigation – said Tadić.
He recalled that Bosnia and Herzegovina has been subjected to foreign influence from the very beginning, explaining that after the war, political actors sought to open up to the world with the goal of enhancing their democratic capacity, but this openness was exploited.
Tadić further emphasized that USAID’s manipulations and the actions of the U.S. Embassy have undermined democratic processes in the country.
- A serious question arises: Whose right to vote is it, really? No matter how we vote, no matter whom we choose, the same agenda is always repeated, and the same policies continue to be implemented through the U.S. Embassy. So, we must ask ourselves: Do we actually have the right to vote, or is someone else voting on our behalf? – Tadić questioned.
He acknowledged that not all USAID funds have been used for manipulations and criminal activities, but he argued that the overarching goal has always been domination.
- Some funds were directed toward projects that helped the population, such as school reconstruction projects, but these were not acts of genuine assistance. Instead, they were means to establish dominance over the local population and enforce subordination for financial gain – Tadić concluded.
