Inspired by their daughter: Parents from Kostajnica create animated series

Milena and Neven Đenadija, parents of four children from Kostajnica, have created the animated series “Neva Without Borders”, inspired by their five-year-old daughter Neva. The first episode, titled “Neva and the Magical World of Nikola Tesla”, premiered on social media.

Đenadija stated that he and his wife found inspiration in their daughter Neva, her unique personality, imagination, and curiosity.

Their goal was to create an animated series tailored to today’s children—both educational and entertaining.

“The stories and adventures blend children’s imagination with real facts. We believe this is an excellent way to introduce our youngest viewers to great scientists, their inventions, and achievements, as well as to spark their interest in meaningful and educational topics, which we feel are lacking in today’s media content,” said Đenadija.

He emphasized that he and his wife were dissatisfied with the content available to young children, prompting them to create something they consider to be educational, wholesome, and fun for their own children.

“I believe every parent finds inspiration in their children—for work, ambition, and life in general. For us, it’s our Neva, the eldest, with her endless questions, mischief, and character,” he explained.

The film was created with the help of artificial intelligence, and the screenplay was written by Neva’s parents.

“The first episode features Tesla because he was the first scientist Neva asked about. I realized I had to pursue this project because, in 2016, I received an award from the Tesla Science Foundation. I knew then that this was the right path and that the first episode had to tell the story of this remarkable scientist,” Đenadija noted.
