Starčević satisfied after first test

The head coach of Laktaši, Slobodan Starčević, expressed satisfaction after his team’s first friendly match, in which they defeated Kozara from Gradiška 2-1.

  • “After ten days of intensive training, we played a match against Kozara, and this game was meant to identify any potential weaknesses in our squad. The most important thing is that we won, but also that after these 90 minutes, we are aware of the areas we need to improve, which we must address as soon as possible,” said Starčević.

In the first half of the match, former Radnik Bijeljina player, Savo Veljkić, who started his career at Kozara and also played for Drina Zvornik, featured for Laktaši. Along with him, Igor Vučićević, Mihajlo Amidžić, Filip Sarić, Srđan Bašić, and Marko Babić have joined Laktaši during the winter transfer window. On the other hand, the club has parted ways with Nikola Dujaković, Aleksa Vintoji, Ricardo Oliveira, Stefan Milojević, and Matija Stijepović.

  • “With Veljkić’s arrival, our transfer window is likely closed, both in terms of arrivals and departures. Now, we need to continue working on team cohesion so that we enter the second part of the season as prepared as possible, aiming to maintain our position at the top of the league.

Our next friendly match is against BSK on February 8, followed by a game against Bratstvo from Kozinci on February 13. We have also scheduled a match against Sloboda from Novi Grad on February 15, and our final test before the restart of the season will be against Čelik Zenica,” Starčević added.
