February on Jahorina promises excellent skiing conditions, thanks to the most advanced artificial snowmaking system and favorable weather conditions for snow production, according to the Olympic Center Jahorina.
The director of the Olympic Center, Dejan Ljevnaić, stated that they are entering the upcoming period with optimism, as low temperatures, no wind, and low humidity are expected—ideal conditions for the continuous operation of the entire snowmaking system on Jahorina.
He emphasized that over 12,000 cubic meters of artificial snow were produced during the previous night alone, significantly improving the skiing conditions on the slopes.
- “Whenever conditions allow, we use every minute for snow production because we respect our skiers. Our employees work day and night to ensure the best possible conditions for skiing. Thanks to their dedication and the ‘Snow Factory’ snowmaking system, we have overcome the challenging period of high temperatures and strong southern winds,” said Ljevnaić.
The Olympic Center’s statement highlights that Jahorina has maintained the winter season continuously for 70 days, allowing ski enthusiasts to enjoy well-prepared slopes, while other ski resorts, such as Durmitor and Bjelasica, have closed their doors to visitors.
In the coming days, skiers can expect sunny weather, below-freezing temperatures, and excellent skiing conditions, along with Jahorina’s renowned hospitality and diverse offerings.
Aside from snow activities, the Olympic Center has also announced top-tier entertainment with music performances at the Olympic Bar at the mountain’s peak.
