The Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska will host the final expert-guided tour of the representative sculpture exhibition “Figures in Motion” by Edgar Degas tomorrow at 7 p.m.
Visitors will be guided through the exhibition by Dr. Danijela Ucović, the exhibition’s curator. Dr. Ucović will present the entirety of the sculptural opus of this prominent artist, with a particular focus on his final days when the displayed figures were created. Her tour will also highlight some of Degas’ most significant works, offering insights into the spirit of the era in which he created.
This exhibition, organized to commemorate the 190th anniversary of Degas’ birth, was made possible through the initiative and generosity of Amir Gross Kabiri, director of the M.T. Abraham Foundation from Israel. It is a great honor and recognition for the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska. The exhibition was realized in collaboration with The Hub of Fine Arts gallery in Mostar and is part of the extensive collection of the M.T. Abraham Foundation, marking the first presentation of Edgar Degas’ sculptures in Republika Srpska.
