Over 500 participants in the race for Srpska

A race titled “Running for Srpska – Born for Eternity” is taking place in Banja Luka to celebrate January 9, the Day of Republika Srpska. The event has brought together around 500 participants from Republika Srpska and Serbia.

Duško Tadić, president of the “Vrbas” Athletic Club for Persons with Disabilities, told Srna that the race sends a message of love for Republika Srpska, which is demonstrated through participation in this event.

  • “This is a gift from the running community and citizens for January 9, the Day of Republika Srpska. This is the eighth year the race is being held, and the date has been moved due to the numerous events happening in Banja Luka on January 9. We have support from the city of Banja Luka and other institutions,” Tadić stated.

The organizers of the race are the Banja Luka Running League and the “Vrbas” Athletic Club for Persons with Disabilities.

Tadić added that the main race covers a distance of five kilometers, with a separate scored race for police participants. Additionally, there are planned races for children and individuals with developmental challenges and disabilities.
