Republika Srpska will celebrate Republic Day on January 9, and a promotional video titled “Born for Eternity” has been released to mark the occasion.
Republika Srpska was founded on January 9, 1992, initially under the name the Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was established by Serb deputies in the then-Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina after being outvoted on key decisions regarding the survival of Yugoslavia, while members of the other two ethnic groups moved toward secession against the will of Serbs, who held the status of a constituent people.
Every year, Republika Srpska commemorates Republic Day with numerous activities, and this year’s slogan is “Born for Eternity,” reports RTRS.
