Bubić: Next hearing scheduled for January 29

The next hearing will be held on January 29, indicating that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has accepted the opinion of the medical team from the General Hospital “Abdulah Nakaš” that the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, cannot attend the trial for at least six weeks after his surgery, said attorney Goran Bubić at a press conference.

The next hearing is scheduled for January 29 at 1:00 PM.

“This implies that the Court has accepted the opinion of this medical institution rather than that of court expert Haris Vranić,” added Bubić.

A status conference with the defense teams in the case against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and acting director of the Official Gazette Miloš Lukić was held today at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The two are on trial for “non-compliance with the decisions of Christian Schmidt.”

President Dodik underwent surgery on December 9 in Belgrade. The procedure on his stomach and esophagus was complicated but successful.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina postponed the main hearing originally scheduled for today after receiving a multidisciplinary evaluation from a six-member team of doctors from the General Hospital “Primarius Dr. Abdulah Nakaš” in Sarajevo, who stated that Dodik is not medically fit to attend the trial.
