The end of December in Derventa brings true winter magic with the event “Derventa Winter Evenings,” taking place from December 27 to 30 on the Liberation Square.
Organized by the city’s Tourist Organization, the event is designed to provide a festive atmosphere for children and all visitors.
- On the first day of the event, Friday, December 27, Moto Santas will parade through the city streets, visiting local schools and kindergartens to distribute sweets to children and invite them to Liberation Square, in front of the City Administration, for the Children’s New Year’s celebration. The program begins at 12 PM and will feature performances by Sara and Tijana, students of “Nikola Tesla” and “19th April” elementary schools, skits by students of the “Mihajlo Pupin” High School and the Vocational and Technical School, as well as performances by children from “Troll” and “Bambi” kindergartens, followed by a New Year’s concert by Tijana Dapčević for the youngest – stated the Derventa Tourist Organization.
The same day, at 7 PM, a traditional music concert will be held.
- This reflects the essence of our region, and we want everyone to enjoy and be happy. That evening will feature performances by the folk music group “Veselo Doba,” “Ceranski Izvor,” “Lutalice,” “Vesle Noći,” Mara, the folklore section of the “19th April” school, the “Đurđevak” cultural association, and students of the traditional instrument school. At 9:30 PM, the Apokalipso band will perform folk music – the organizers added.
On the second evening of the “Derventa Winter Evenings,” performers from Derventa who competed in the “Rhythm of Europe” contest, the acoustic duo Damjan and Nemanja, and Dejan Nović with his band will take the stage.
On December 29, the lineup includes the “Mozaik” choir, the Nović sisters performing ethno music, and the rock band Diminutive.
The highlight of the event is set for Monday, December 30, with a concert by the band “Regina,” scheduled for 9 PM, with DJ Čola opening the evening.
The musical program will be accompanied by a New Year’s bazaar.
- Stalls set up on Liberation Square will showcase handmade crafts by local artisans and culinary delicacies – said the Tourist Organization, inviting local hospitality businesses to register for participation in the bazaar.
Unforgettable holiday photos can once again be taken in a specially decorated corner in front of the City Administration, with prizes awarded for the most creative and beautiful photos.
