The gallery of the Trebinje Cultural Center has opened an exhibition featuring objects, prints, and collaged photographic images by Marko Musović, titled Speed-impact-pressure-order.
Musović, a full professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Trebinje in the painting department, is holding his first solo exhibition in Trebinje after 24 years of work at the academy.
The transformation of social and artistic spaces, filled with mass media, digital technologies, communication strategies, and new mnemonic techniques, has enabled Marko Musović to use his work to address the question of what art represents in the practice, concept, or installation of an “artist.”
“The exhibition features media including collage, print, objects, and a small portion of photographs combined with collage,” Musović explained.
Miljan Vuković, director of the Trebinje Cultural Center, emphasized the strong emotional connection between the Cultural Center and the Academy. For this reason, he stated, the exhibition by Marko Musović, a lecturer and former dean of the Academy, holds particular significance for this cultural institution.
The works presented to the Trebinje audience were created between 2010 and 2017, with two additional pieces from 2024 included.
Musović has held thirty-seven solo exhibitions to date.
He is a member of the fine arts associations of Croatia and Montenegro and has received numerous awards and recognitions.
