The “Zvorničko kolo” Ensemble of Folk Dances and Songs held a folklore veterans’ concert tonight, featuring performances of “Kraljevo kolo” and dances from Negotin, Leskovac, and other regions.
The ensemble, which has existed for more than eight years, was previously part of the Serbian Educational and Cultural Society “Prosvjeta” in Zvornik, before becoming an independent group. It currently has around 40 active members, including younger participants.
Guests of the evening included the Cultural and Artistic Society of Veterans “Iskon” from Šimanovci, Dance Studio “001” from Zvornik, the Women’s Singing Group from Bijeljina, and the President of the Association of Gusle Players of Republika Srpska, Boško Golijanin.
The president of the ensemble, Svjetlana Petković, stated to SRNA that this concert was dedicated to the recently deceased choreographer Mladen Kosorić, who was a member of “Zvorničko kolo.”
