The Government of Republika Srpska issues recommendations aimed at greater competitiveness

The Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation of Republika Srpska, Zlatan Klokić, opened the conference “Western Balkans Competitiveness Outlook 2024” at the Administrative Center of the Government of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, where this year’s Competitiveness Report on the Western Balkans for Bosnia and Herzegovina was presented.

In his opening address, Klokić emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), one of the organizers of the conference, particularly for providing a unique forum where governments work together to address the economic, social, and environmental challenges of globalization.

“The Government of Republika Srpska has already issued recommendations to address the problems and challenges identified in this year’s Western Balkans Competitiveness findings, which is a clear indicator of our readiness to respond to all challenges. We will continue, institutionally and in a coordinated manner, with active participation in enhancing competitiveness in Southeastern Europe,” said Klokić.

The conference was organized by the OECD and the European Union, in cooperation with the Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation.

Alongside the Head of the Southeast Europe Division, Majen Kišelevski, and representatives from the EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the presentation of this year’s report was attended by representatives from various institutions of Republika Srpska, the business community, and the civil sector.
