Đorđe Račić, a competitor from the jiu-jitsu club Minotaur in Banja Luka, won a silver medal at the World Youth Championship held on the Greek island of Crete.
Račić competed in the under-16 category in fighting, securing three victories before being defeated in the final by Sweden’s Sebastian Osterberg.
Just a month and a half ago, this young athlete from Banja Luka won a bronze medal at the Balkan Championship.
In addition to Račić, Anja Delipara from the jiu-jitsu club Jahorina also claimed a silver medal.
The competition hosted over 1,600 participants from 46 countries, highlighting the significance of the achievements by these young athletes from Republika Srpska.
