Commenting on media reports that EUFOR translator Elma Duraković has been monitoring the politically staged trial against him and acting director of “Službeni Glasnik,” Miloš Lukić, in Sarajevo, and compiled a list of all the media and journalists covering the trial, President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that there is significant foreign interest in what Schmidt has caused by fabricating a false indictment and staging a non-existent process.
“I see they keep coming and gathering data on who attends and what is being said. After I publicly revealed what they are offering me for an acquittal, many got scared. I haven’t said yet who is making the offer, although it is well known. Let me repeat once again, briefly and clearly, so they don’t have to translate it for long: I will not sacrifice Republika Srpska for an acquittal, there is no talk of centralizing Bosnia and Herzegovina, we will not recognize Schmidt, and they can take their threats and offers and throw them to the wind!” Dodik firmly stated.
He added that his legal team would expose just how corrupt their judiciary is by the end of the trial, thanking them for the “gift” of this farcical court case.
When asked to comment on the statement by Igor Crnadak, head of the PDP caucus in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, who announced that he would ask the Assembly’s Collegium to unanimously invite President Dodik to the next session to explain who, where, and when offered him a deal to accept the centralization of BiH and act against Republika Srpska in exchange for his acquittal, Dodik responded that Crnadak has realized that his treacherous policies have hit rock bottom. He accused Crnadak of now trying to pose as a patriot to improve his position ahead of the party elections because he sees that they’ve lost control.
“I see he said that we must not allow a court case to be exploited to endanger Republika Srpska and its powers, and I don’t know what to say to that. We’ve been warning about what every responsible politician knows all along, and now that realization has finally dawned on them. I could have told him for free that his party would fail, as it has, because the people will not support those who approve everything foreigners do here,” Dodik said.
He expressed confidence that there are serious individuals in the opposition and announced plans to talk with them.
“As for Crnadak, his career ended long ago. When he accepted Schmidt and the other misdeeds PDP advocated, he lost all credibility,” Dodik concluded.
