Tegeltija: Rejection of the request to recuse Uzunović is further proof of the BiH Court’s circus

The decision by the Criminal Chamber of the Court of BiH to reject the request for the recusal of Judge Sena Uzunović in the case against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the acting director of the Official Gazette, Miloš Lukić, is just further evidence of the circus that is the Court of BiH, said legal expert Milan Tegeltija.

Tegeltija pointed out that the recusal was requested in a situation where Uzunović had clearly and evidently demonstrated personal bias, animosity, and hostility toward Dodik.

He added that in any judicial system, behavior like Uzunović’s during the latest main hearing would result in disqualification from the case, which is not the case in the Court of BiH.

“The Court of BiH once again proves itself to be a political puppet, incapable of ensuring a lawful, impartial, and fair trial for the President of Republika Srpska,” Tegeltija added.

He concluded that with this decision, the Court of BiH has shown that it does not even care about the appearance of impartiality and legality and is merely playing its political role aimed against President Milorad Dodik, as the target of such a political project.

The Criminal Chamber of the Court of BiH has rejected the defense’s request for the recusal of Judge Sena Uzunović in the case against Milorad Dodik, according to a statement from the Court of BiH.
