The trial against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, is an attack on the institutions and property of Republika Srpska, stated Željko Budimir, Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska and professor at the Faculty of Political Science in Banja Luka, during his appearance on the morning program.
- “If you undermine the institution of the president, the highest one, then the others automatically fall as well. This is a unique case in the world, where a president is tried for adhering to his own constitution. But there’s nothing to come from this imagined scenario in Sarajevo and certain Western embassies,” Budimir said.
He also raised concerns about the scheduling dynamics of the hearings.
- “Every seven days, there’s a new proceeding. This is a trial based on the decision of an invalid High Representative. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a colony, and that should be clear to everyone,” Budimir added.
Budimir also touched upon the new academic year at universities in Republika Srpska.
- “What’s important in these difficult times is that we achieved successful results in the first two enrollment periods. We’ve halted the decline seen over the past 10 years,” Budimir emphasized.
He highlighted the significance of the Student Cultural Center in shaping student life in Banja Luka.
- “We’ve created one of the most complete venues in BiH. We’ve invested in the campuses, built roads, and are controlling entry and exit from the student city,” Budimir concluded.
