Crvanjsko Lake

Crvanjsko Lake

Nestled on the serene plateau of Mount Crvanj, at an altitude of 1,058 meters, lies a hidden gem of nature – Crvanjsko Lake, also known as Uloško Lake.

This natural beauty, near Kalinovik, is surrounded by untouched forests and mountain peaks, offering a true paradise for nature lovers and seekers of tranquility.

The lake stretches approximately 400 meters in length and 200 meters in width, with a maximum depth reaching 25 meters. Its crystal-clear waters are fed by several underwater springs, according to local belief.

To the west of the lake rises Mali Vrh, a peak standing at 1,274 meters, while the northern side is guarded by a dense beech forest, creating a natural amphitheater around the lake.

Adding to the charm of this place is the Jezernica stream, which gently flows out of the lake, feeding the Neretva River and connecting this small piece of paradise to the wider world.

Crvanjsko Lake is not only a destination for hikers and adventurers but also a place where you can enjoy the simple beauty of nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The lake invites all visitors to experience the peace that only mountain lakes can offer. Enjoy the sound of the wind rustling through the beech trees, refresh yourself in the clear waters, and find your own corner of serenity in the heart of untouched nature.
