In the case against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the Acting Director of the Official Gazette, Miloš Lukić, they are being tried for something that is not even a criminal offense, and this will eventually be established, stated lawyer Anto Nobilo.
Nobilo emphasized that “in this trial, you cannot identify what the criminal offense is, what damage has been done, whether anyone was harmed, whether anyone lost any property, whether any rights were violated, or whether the constitutional order was disrupted.”
“There is simply no harm. What Dodik and Lukić are being tried for is not a criminal offense, and this case should not have been initiated in the first place. Today, with the testimony of witness Jelena Pajić Baštinac, it became clear that this is essentially a conflict between the legislative and constitutional order of Srpska and the actions of Christian Schmidt, which should have been resolved through other means, politically rather than through a criminal proceeding,” Nobilo noted.
According to him, this is a struggle over something that should not have been treated as a criminal offense.
