The head of the SNSD caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Sanja Vulić, stated that the constant efforts to dismantle the Dayton Agreement and the expulsion of Serbs and Croats from parts of BiH continue unabated. She added that the inflammatory statements from members of the Bundestag, like Mihael Brand, are not surprising, and urged him to stay away from the Serb people.
Reacting to the offensive remarks made by Bundestag member Mihael Brand against the leadership of Republika Srpska, Serbia, and Russia, Vulić noted that Nazi Germany has historically demonstrated how “bad guys” behave and what genocide looks like, through the killing, execution, torture, and other atrocities committed against the suffering Serb people.
“Brand needs to learn our saying—it’s not important what is said, but who says it,” Vulić remarked, emphasizing that it’s no surprise he has issues with Serb leaders given that he is a supporter of an Islamic Bosnia and is unbothered by the presence of radical groups in the Federation of BiH.
Speaking to Srna, Vulić urged this Bundestag member to advocate for his own or any other nation he chooses, but to keep his dirty thoughts, words, and hands away from the Serb people.
“The Serb people and our leaders Milorad Dodik and Aleksandar Vučić will live on. Republika Srpska and Serbia will live on. The hatred of Brand and those like him only fuels the determination for the future of the Serb nation,” she concluded.
In an interview with Sarajevo’s “Oslobođenje,” Brand made a series of offensive and spiteful comments against Republika Srpska, its institutions, and its president, Milorad Dodik.
He described the Dayton Peace Agreement as an “unjust agreement that rewarded war crimes” and “violates basic European and Western values,” and called on Germany, the EU, NATO, OHR, and others to “stand up for the people and oppose the bad guys” in BiH.
