The footballers of Banja Luka’s Borac secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Sloga from Doboj at the Banja Luka City Stadium, in the 26th round of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League.
The sole goal for the “red-blue” squad was scored by Srđan Grahovac in the eighth minute of the match.
With this win, Borac has accumulated 62 points and is the leader of the BiH championship, while the second-placed Zrinjski has 52 points but with one game in hand.
Velež is in third place with 43 points.
After this round, Vinko Marinović’s proteges are set for the return match of the BiH Cup semi-final, on Wednesday, April 17th at 5 PM, when they host the team from Široki Brijeg. On the same day, Sloga will visit Zrinjski in Mostar.
In the 27th round of the BiH championship, Borac will visit Sarajevo in the derby of the round, on April 20th at 3 PM, and the footballers of Sloga will host Zrinjski.
Upon entering the stadium, Borac players carried a banner stating “Call 1413 for Sergej,” as part of a humanitarian campaign to raise funds for the treatment of Banja Luka’s Sergej Stupar.
