BiH must pursue membership in the European Union despite its weaknesses, said Nebojša Radmanović, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of BiH, during his appearance on the show Telering on RTRS.
“BiH and Republika Srpska, as part of it, are economically fully tied to the European Union, which is one of the most important reasons for the European path,” Radmanović emphasized.
Regardless of the European Council’s decision regarding the commencement of negotiations with BiH, it is known that the SNSD explicitly requests a date. Radmanović is optimistic about the start of negotiations but not about the date for BiH, which he says is uncertain when it will be received at all.
“Today, we already know, a day before it will be decided that we will not get a date. Of course, it would be very important to get a date because then we develop in a different way, we work differently here, and the European Union and Brussels as a whole treat us differently. Otherwise, it carries a series of minuses. So, we remain practically halfway there, still pressured to adopt something we maybe don’t want but must. Sometimes we slow down, saying what do we care you didn’t give us a date, so it’s bad that they don’t give us a date,” Radmanović emphasized.
