The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, emphasized that Republika Srpska is in favor of an agreement within Bosnia and Herzegovina, but is determined to put an end to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path if Christian Schmidt attempts to interfere with the amendments to the Election Law.
“In that case, Republika Srpska will adopt its own election law and conduct elections,” Dodik wrote on Instagram.
He reminded that Republika Srpska’s authorities regarding elections were previously usurped, as according to the Dayton Agreement, Bosnia and Herzegovina can conduct elections for the members of the Presidency and the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but everything else should be conducted by Republika Srpska.
The President of Republika Srpska, in his review of the past week, recalled receiving the newly appointed Ambassador of Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivan Todorov, and meeting with the Ambassador of Norway to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Olav Reinertsen.
“I also attended the promotion of the 50th jubilee issue and the celebration of 18 years of the scientific journal for social and political issues ‘Argumenti.’ I also visited Serbia, where I attended the celebration of Serbia’s Statehood Day – Sretenje, with the state leadership,” Dodik stated.
