“President of the Veterans Organization of Republika Srpska, Radan Ostojić, stated that political Sarajevo is striving to retain as many wartime personnel as possible in all positions within the defense sector because they believe that the Armed Forces serve the political goals of the Bosniak people.
Regarding the efforts to prevent the appointment of a Serb as the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ostojić says that political Sarajevo perceives the Armed Forces exclusively as its own property, an institution serving to protect the Bosniak people.
‘The Armed Forces are evidently intended to serve the agenda of political Sarajevo, whose primary goal is the unitarization of BiH, and this is easiest to achieve by keeping wartime personnel in key positions within the Armed Forces,’ said Ostojić.
He emphasized that the developments within the Armed Forces of BiH are just one of many indicators of implementing the national goals of the entire Bosniak corpus.
‘The sooner we collectively and unitedly oppose this, the better chance we have to preserve what we created during the Defensive-Patriotic War and thus endure as a people in the area where we have lived for centuries,’ Ostojić assessed for Srna.
Ostojić stated that every transfer of authority so far has weakened Republika Srpska and increased the unitarization of BiH. The obstruction in the election of a new Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces indicates that unitarization leads to majorization and abuse at the expense of the Serbian people.
General Gojko Knežević has been nominated for the position of Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH, and he should replace Senad Mašović in that role, as confirmed earlier by Srna from the Ministry of Defense in the Council of Ministers.
Mašović has been in the position of Chief of the Joint General Staff illegally for almost two years. His mandate expired at the beginning of March last year.”
