“The National Theater of the Republic of Srpska (NTRS) has been honored with the prestigious ‘Seal of the National Theater in Belgrade.’ On behalf of the national theater, the award was received today at a special ceremony in Belgrade by Dijana Grbić, the director of the National Theater of the Republic of Srpska. According to the explanation, the recognition was awarded in appreciation of the special contribution made by the National Theater of the Republic of Srpska to the National Theater in Belgrade.
“This recognition, coming on the jubilee, the 155th anniversary of the National Theater in Belgrade, crowns the successful cooperation between the two theaters. Over the past year, since we signed a protocol of cooperation, we have sought to further bring our institutions closer together, not only declaratively but, above all, through joint project development. Some of these projects have already been successfully realized, such as the highly acclaimed co-production of the play ‘Hilarious Tragedy,’ which has gained favor with audiences in both cities. We have, I hope, brought our Banja Luka closer to the audience in Belgrade, and Banja Luka has had the pleasure of acquainting itself with the fruits of the joint work of both ensembles. In the time ahead, we will strive to implement every point of the cooperation protocol, to the delight of audiences in Belgrade and Banja Luka,” she emphasized.”
