Donald Trump Jr., speaking at a panel discussion in Banja Luka, said that during his participation in business conferences around the world he has often heard the European Union described as a “disaster,” but one that needs to be fixed.
“The situation in the EU will affect Western values and Western civilization. The only way to improve it is to allow things there to resolve themselves. I have previously spoken about developments in Eastern versus Western Europe, and many countries that were—and still are—in Eastern Europe are now part of the EU,” Trump Jr. said.
He added that there are, of course, benefits as well.
“I have spoken at numerous business conferences worldwide, alongside leading figures in finance, banking, and technology. One comment I consistently heard was that the EU is a disaster—but a disaster that needs to be fixed, because what happens in the EU will affect Western values and Western civilization. The only way forward is to let things resolve internally,” Trump Jr. said, responding to a question from Republika Srpska Interior Minister Željko Budimir.
