Children’s author Uroš Petrović visited Kozarska Dubica, where the local Public Library organized the event to mark International Children’s Book Day. The gathering with Petrović was held for fourth- and fifth-grade primary school students.
Uroš Petrović is the author of numerous books for children and is widely recognized for the way he humorously and subtly introduces young readers to the fascinating world of books.
“I will hold a thinking workshop where I will exchange ideas with children, but also with adults. Of course, I will also present my books and talk about the importance of reading—that children who read achieve up to one-third better results in school and in life compared to those who do not,” the author said.
Public Library director Danijela Mandić emphasized that, on the occasion of important events, the institution offers diverse programs to local residents, while making a special effort to include the youngest audience.
Petrović’s visit is one of a series of activities marking 62 years since the founding of the Kozarska Dubica Public Library.
