The novel Zera Luče by Jasenka Lalović, which explores the light found in the darkest times and serves as a tribute to courage and faith in good despite adversity, was presented today at the Cultural Center “Jevto Dedijer” in Bileća.
Lalović, one of the most widely read authors in the region, stated that Zera Luče builds upon her previous works while also representing a certain step forward.
She noted that the structure of the novel delves more deeply into psychological aspects and appears to be oriented toward a somewhat younger audience, which has already been confirmed by early reader reactions.
Lalović added that each of her books represents a small research journey through which she seeks personal answers and shapes her reflections.
She also revealed that she is already working on a new manuscript, a travel-inspired book, expressing hope that it will be completed and published by autumn.
The promotion was organized by the National Library ‘Vladimir Gaćinović’, while librarian Irena Dunđer reminded that Lalović had previously visited Bileća to present her trilogy Brda od pelina.
Dunđer emphasized that Lalović is among the most read authors in the local library and described Zera Luče as a powerful and emotional story about a woman, family, and heritage.
She highlighted that the novel portrays invisible threads connecting generations, structured through layered storytelling that intertwines past and present, family memories, and individual experiences.
