Banja Luka athlete Milica Panić wins silver at the European Championship in Crete

Young athlete Milica Panić achieved a major success for sport in Banja Luka and for domestic jiu-jitsu by winning a silver medal at the European Junior Championship held on March 14–15 in Heraklion.

Panić, a member of Jiu-Jitsu Club Borac Banja Luka, competed as part of the Republika Srpska Jiu-Jitsu National Team and once again confirmed that she is one of the most promising young competitors in the sport.

On her way to the final, she demonstrated exceptional fighting spirit, technique, and sportsmanship, defeating several strong opponents from across Europe.

In the final match, Panić put up strong resistance but ultimately secured the silver medal after a demanding bout—an outstanding result at one of the strongest competitions for young jiu-jitsu athletes in Europe.

The achievement is a source of great pride for her club, the city of Banja Luka, and Republika Srpska.

Her club emphasized that the medal is the result of years of hard work, discipline, and dedication to training.

The championship in Heraklion gathered a large number of competitors from across Europe, and Panić’s result once again confirms the quality of jiu-jitsu in Republika Srpska and the potential of young athletes coming through the ranks.

After her success on the European stage, a new major challenge awaits her. In October this year she will compete at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Rome, where she will once again face the best young competitors from around the world.
