Retired colonel of the Army of Republika Srpska Milan Jolović said that the world is currently witnessing the creation of a multipolar global order, a process historically accompanied by major wars.
Jolović stated that “a major war in Europe is projected by the end of the decade,” adding that Europe will experience a painful transition from a unipolar to a multipolar world order.
“Europe is already preparing for a large war, and one indicator is the withdrawal of United Kingdom from the European Union as well as the reduction of United States forces on European soil,” he said, adding that the security situation in Europe is also reflected in the Balkans.
Speaking about a military alliance between Croatia, Albania and Kosovo, Jolović said that such cooperation is directed against Serbs in the event of a wider European conflict.
“The West will always perceive us as ‘small Serbs’ and a disruptive factor to their strategic goals. In a projected war scenario—this is not an announcement of war but a projection—this alliance, which is also attempting to involve Bulgaria, would be used against the Serbs,” Jolović said.
He emphasized that Serbs throughout history have fought defensive wars and expressed hope that they would be spared in any future projected conflict.
Commenting on the conflict in the Middle East, Jolović said it is unfolding in several phases.
“The first phase was the decapitation of leadership, while the current phase focuses on destroying infrastructure, which prepares the ground for a third phase—internal mobilization of forces, because Iran cannot be defeated militarily from a distance,” he said.
According to Jolović, the second phase could last four to five weeks, after which internal unrest and possibly a civil conflict could follow.
