Leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats Milorad Dodik said that there will be no gathering of former members of defeated Croatian Defence Council units in Derventa.
He stated that Republika Srpska will not allow the glorification of ideologies and formations that committed serious crimes against the Serb people.
“While Croatia bans the commemoration of days of Serb suffering and the destruction and desecration of Serb graves goes unpunished, anyone who expected that Serbs would silently watch the glorification of units that killed our people on our own land was mistaken,” Dodik wrote on X.
He added that state authorities of Republika Srpska will react to any attempt at such provocations.
The Veterans’ Organization of Republika Srpska has called on the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska and other competent institutions to ban the marking of the 34th anniversary of the formation of the 3rd battalion Modran of the 103rd brigade of the Croatian Defence Council, scheduled for March 21 in Modran near Derventa.
The organization warned that an investigation should be conducted into the organization of the event or they will be forced to prevent the gathering themselves.
