An Afghan citizen who escaped several days ago from the premises of the Federal Police Administration has been located and arrested.
Members of the Federal Police Administration carried out the arrest in cooperation with the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The suspect is accused of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons or explosive materials.
The Federal Police Administration stated that the individual is not linked to terrorism and urged media outlets not to publish inaccurate or unverified information in order to preserve the integrity of the investigation and prevent fear and public concern.
The Afghan citizen has undergone criminal processing and will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office Sarajevo along with a report on the committed criminal offense.
