Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović held what she described as a useful and constructive meeting with Yechiel Leiter, ambassador of Israel to the United States.
During the meeting, they discussed the current situation in Republika Srpska and Israel.
Cvijanović said she informed her interlocutor about the political, economic, and security circumstances in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the efforts of Republika Srpska to preserve its constitutional position.
“I expressed the expectation that the good cooperation between Republika Srpska and Israel, based on sincere friendship and strong historical ties between the Serb and Jewish peoples, will continue in the future,” Cvijanović wrote on Instagram.
Serb delegate to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Radovan Kovačević is also visiting Washington, D.C..
