The Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska has introduced heightened security measures aimed at ensuring timely response and preventing potential terrorist attacks across Republika Srpska, with particular attention to the vicinity of the Jewish Cultural Center in Banja Luka and other Jewish communities in Srpska.
As part of these activities, members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of Republika Srpska and the Gendarmerie of Republika Srpska are conducting repeated patrols of sites of special interest, carrying out enhanced surveillance, and implementing preventive measures to safeguard the security of all citizens.
The current security situation in Republika Srpska is stable. The measures have been elevated as a precaution due to the potential spillover of a crisis caused by the escalation of violence in the Middle East, taking into account links between certain individuals from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and extremist groups, as well as their involvement in terrorist attacks in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad.
The Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska will continue to carry out its constitutionally and legally mandated duties in a professional manner. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or by calling 122.
