During Iran’s attacks on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), no citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina were injured, Bojan Đokić, BiH’s ambassador to the UAE, told Glas Srpske.
He said another Iranian attack on the UAE occurred this morning, noting that debris from a drone shot down by air defenses caused minor injuries to two people in Abu Dhabi.
“The Embassy is in constant contact with all our citizens who have reached out—both directly by phone and via a shared WhatsApp group. UAE authorities assure us that the situation will soon normalize,” Đokić said, adding that a message was sent today informing citizens that they may leave their apartments and resume normal activities.
He emphasized that, despite this, the Embassy is urging caution and advising BiH citizens in the UAE to follow the instructions of local authorities.
“The Embassy remains available to citizens for any additional information. We hope for a de-escalation of the situation and a return to normal as soon as possible. UAE authorities have also informed us that they are working on reopening the airspace,” Đokić concluded.
According to information from the Embassy, the WhatsApp group used by BiH citizens in Dubai and Abu Dhabi now has around 900 members.
