The president of the All-Russian political party United Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, sent a letter to SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, expressing full support for Republika Srpska and condemning, as he stated, Western pressure and attempts to interfere in internal political processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The letter is published in full:
“Dear Mr. Dodik,
In recent days, Republika Srpska has once again been forced to offer resolute resistance to the brazen pressure of the West, which is rapidly losing its positions and is desperately trying, at any cost, to retain parasitic colonial rule over Bosnia and Herzegovina. Guided by these predatory ambitions, Western neo-metropoles arrogantly interfere in the internal affairs of your country, undermine the fundamental principles of the decentralized structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina enshrined in the Dayton Peace Agreement, and openly trample on the constitutional rights of the Serb people.
Western imperialists cannot come to terms with the broad support for the patriotic course you have set toward affirming national identity and rejecting external diktats. Despite aggressive attacks, Republika Srpska firmly resists manifestations of neocolonialism, including those in the electoral sphere.
We strongly condemn attempts, under fabricated pretexts, to revise the results of the expression of the will of citizens in the extraordinary elections for President of Republika Srpska, in which your associate Siniša Karan emerged victorious. It is obvious that these actions are directed not only against you and your team, but also, in general, against an independent political line that does not align with the selfish interests of the West.
Under these circumstances, internal consolidation of all freedom-loving forces interested in defending the fundamental interests of Republika Srpska, its own values rather than those imposed from outside, is more relevant than ever. We reaffirm our solidarity with the Serb people and the leadership of Republika Srpska, oriented toward the development of a multifaceted, mutually beneficial partnership with the Russian Federation.”
