“My main goal—an independent Republika Srpska—has not disappeared, and I want to reach that goal through a peaceful political process, using the international timing that is taking shape,” SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said on the RTRS Morning Program.
“I will be dissatisfied if we miss the timing for our final decisions on this,” Dodik said.
“When independence is proclaimed, Republika Srpska will be recognized by 15 countries within a few days,” Dodik emphasized.
“He stressed that he wants to free Republika Srpska from pressure, adding that he is not a man who gives up and that he strives to fight for his goals.”
“Dodik said that he does not accept Bosniak domination over Bosnia and Herzegovina, nor the subservience which, as he said, the opposition in Srpska is willing to accept.”
“We know what the efforts of Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina are. We know that they have done everything to dismantle Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina and to move it as close as possible toward a unitary state,” he said, adding:
“If we are foolish, we will accept whatever they want to impose on us; we will appear naive and stupid, and then we will not deserve our republic.”
“Speaking about his visit to Hungary and his meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Dodik said that Hungary has the greatest understanding of the Balkans and is rightly entitled to engage with this region, unlike Scandinavian countries that continue to try to do so without any real foundation.”
“When it comes to the visit to Israel, Dodik said that Israel understands the position of Republika Srpska, adding that he discussed all issues with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.”
