“Sarajevo’s political-intelligence underground, which—contrary to the interests of the Bosniak people—covers up the development of a ‘Bosnian Hamas,’ is persistently using media and judicial levers to work on the political liquidation of Serbs, both leaders and the people,” said the Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić.
He recalled media demonization and court proceedings against Serbs for so-called “undermining of the constitutional order,” verbal offenses, or even merely displaying photographs, without uttering a single word.
“Fabricated proceedings with fabricated evidence and witnesses are introducing political apartheid in Republika Srpska with the aim of expelling everyone who refuses to be a subject of the Bosniak establishment, which abolishes peoples and entities with the help of a few—fortunately ever fewer—international hypocrites and bureaucrats. Consciously, like Alija Izetbegović, they are working on sacrificing peace. Does anyone really think there are no meetings at which Sarajevo’s political-intelligence underground, after receiving approval, agrees on a strategy for the political liquidation of Serbs? It begins with the media, followed by judicial persecution. We have seen this strategy in the cases of the President of Republika Srpska, the Prime Minister, and the National Assembly. There are those tasked with the media, others with courts and prosecutors’ offices, and a third group with cooperation with the opposition in Republika Srpska. That underground state functions—unlike the real one, in which everything is blocked,” Stevandić said.
What was previously only suspected, Stevandić added, is now backed by complete information.
“Just as all diplomatic-intelligence representatives of major countries have it as well, especially those from the European Union. If we remain silent, we accept defeat and the quiet disappearance of Republika Srpska—perhaps along the model advocated by former reis Mustafa Cerić, who promotes the creation of a Bosnian Orthodox Church,” Stevandić warned.
He stressed that hatred toward upright Serbs—who uphold the postulates of peace and equality established by the Dayton Agreement—has become normalized and official policy, as well as a daily narrative of public and political life and the media space.
“Network terrorism, dominated by insults and calls for our killings, where judgments against us have already been passed, is merely an indicator of where this is heading and a pressure toward the radicalization of Bosniak politics. That is why the proposals of the former reis are identical to those of Pavelić’s regime, whose goal was to forcibly convert one third of Serbs, while almost all Bosniak leaders speak of expulsion, repeating that we have nothing of our own in Bosnia and Herzegovina except the soil on our shoes—and that is all we can take when they expel us. When all this is done publicly, one can only imagine what is done in secret,” Stevandić added.
How far this has gone, he continued, is best seen in the stance and actions of the opposition in Republika Srpska, which—through silence or open support—backs such stripped-down Bosniak policy or even cooperates with it.
“Such perfidy has its most dreadful name in our people. As harsh as it sounds, those in the Serb opposition who are aware of this ‘drip with rust while their knees are cut,’ and for those who are not—may God forgive them, because the Serbs will not. Awareness of the hard times that undoubtedly lie ahead and the fate that follows demand unity and rational action beyond personal perceptions, ambitions, and interests. But before that—however frightening and drastic it may seem—the truth must be spoken. If the people understand it, it saves,” Stevandić concluded.
