Dodik receives the “Jabotinsky for Freedom” award in Israel

Milorad Dodik, leader of SNSD, was today presented with the “Jabotinsky for Freedom” award at the Knesset, in recognition of his contribution to the development of relations between Israel and Republika Srpska and his understanding of the challenges facing the Jewish people.

During the visit, the acting President of Republika Srpska, Ana Trivišić Babić, and Milorad Dodik met in Jerusalem with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Dodik described the meeting as highly successful, emphasizing the Israeli side’s understanding and support for a return to the original provisions of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu conveyed that Republika Srpska and Israel are lasting friends,” Dodik said.

As part of the visit, the Republika Srpska delegation also met with Zeev Elkin, a member of the Knesset, as well as with the Russian Ambassador to Israel, Anatoly Viktorov, where the strategic level of cooperation between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation was highlighted. The delegation also visited the grave of Ari Livne in Jerusalem.

The delegation of Republika Srpska also includes Radovan Kovačević, the Serb delegate to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
