Europe will be the biggest loser in the outcome of the conflict in Ukraine because its political elites are passive, said Milorad Dodik, President of SNSD.
Speaking about the possibility of a military clash between Russia and Europe, Dodik referred to the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin:
“I fully agree with President Putin, who said that Europe does not have the necessary muscle to wage war against Russia. His message is honest and direct: if you Europeans want to try, go ahead — but we will not take any special action,” Dodik said.
He added that Russia is in conflict with Ukraine not because it wants to seize foreign territory, but because those areas have historically always belonged to Russia, Sputnik reports.
“Leaders of the USSR sometimes made decisions that contradicted historical reality. That is why Crimea and part of Ukraine have now been returned to where they belong. Unfortunately, the spiritual and Orthodox identity of the Russian people is also deeply tied to this issue. We always believed that the people of Ukraine shared the same values and belonged to the same community. In the same way, we thought the peoples of the former Yugoslavia were our brothers, but it turned out they were not. Everything that happened here was part of an earlier strategy the West conducted against Russia,” he explained.
Dodik stressed that Europe will ultimately bear the greatest consequences.
“As a result of this conflict, Europe will lose the most. It is already facing serious economic challenges. There is no leader capable of taking decisive action. Support for Macron is only around 12 percent — likely higher among migrants than among the native population. Support for Merz in Germany is also very low,” Dodik said.
He added that once Putin and Trump reach an agreement, Europe’s political establishment will rapidly weaken.
“When Putin and Trump reach a deal, we will see the erosion of Europe’s elites — a process that has already begun and will ultimately lead to their collapse,” Dodik emphasized.
