Preparations for the New Year holidays are well underway, and the growing number of foreign tourists visiting Republika Srpska confirms that it is becoming an increasingly appealing destination, Minister of Trade and Tourism Denis Šulić told Srna.
Šulić highlighted encouraging statistical trends showing that Republika Srpska can now be considered a year-round tourist destination.
He noted that the first skiers are already on the slopes, which, he said, is the best indication of an exceptionally successful season ahead.
Šulić recalled that next week the Olympic mountain Jahorina will officially open the winter season with regional music stars and a four-day program expected to attract visitors from across the region.
“Jahorina continues to improve its offer and upgrade its infrastructure each year, and we expect excellent attendance. The Ministry of Trade and Tourism will keep supporting the development of Jahorina and all our tourist centers,” Šulić said.
He added that major cities and resorts across Republika Srpska are announcing performances by regional stars and diverse entertainment programs.
“Reservation and occupancy indicators are extremely encouraging, and the fact that more foreign tourists are arriving specifically for the holidays shows that what once seemed distant is now becoming reality — Republika Srpska is emerging as a recognizable and attractive destination in the region,” Šulić concluded.
