“I have fought for the acquired rights that Republika Srpska received under the Dayton Agreement,” said SNSD President Milorad Dodik in an interview on TV Prva.
“We accepted the Dayton Peace Agreement, and yesterday was a public holiday in Republika Srpska marking Dayton. Bosniaks said the agreement was a ‘straitjacket’ for them, and through propaganda — together with globalists, liberals, the Biden administration, and Brussels officials — they managed to impose the narrative that we are the ones undermining Dayton, while they supposedly defend it,” Dodik said.
According to him, BiH has turned into “silent suffering,” and the well-known saying by Ivo Andrić applies: “Where logic ends, Bosnia begins.”
“The fiercest battle was in 2006, when we fought over the status of the police, because they wanted to forcefully centralize it in Sarajevo. We only demanded what is written in Dayton. We had the right to our own army — they took it. We had the right to our own fiscal system — they took that too. We managed to preserve the police. In the last 15 years, we stopped all those transfers of competencies. They wanted to package everything under ‘European integration,’ but it didn’t work. If they want BiH to move toward the EU, it must return to the 14 priorities — and then we can talk to everyone,” Dodik said.
