Srpska Member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović told German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul that it is time to end international supervision in BiH, stressing that the country cannot move toward the EU while functioning as a foreign protectorate.
During the meeting, Cvijanović reaffirmed BiH’s commitment to the European path, but emphasized that responsibility for all political processes must lie with domestic institutions and democratically elected representatives at every level of government.
She also highlighted the importance of a balanced approach by international actors toward all three constituent peoples in BiH, as well as full respect for the country’s decentralized constitutional structure.
Cvijanović noted on X that the discussion focused on the current political situation in Republika Srpska and BiH, along with the challenges facing the EU integration process.
