Svetlana Marković presented the intangible cultural heritage of the Serbian people listed by UNESCO – Zmijanje embroidery – at the international fair “Roots” in Zursel, Flanders, laying the groundwork for future international cooperation.
At the “Roots” fair, held in Zursel in the province of Antwerp, Zmijanje embroidery, as part of the world’s cultural heritage, had its first presentation in the Flemish-speaking area.

Svetlana Marković held workshops and demonstrated the rich applications of this unique embroidery. On the exhibition table, visitors could see a collage showing its use – from strict traditional patterns to modern interpretations in contemporary design.
Zmijanje embroidery was also presented through the works of Sanja Bajić, Dragana Ćorokalo, Dragica Mamić, Zmijanje.design, Vinka Radaković, and Živana Vukčević, a retired midwife.

In addition to the expert presentation, visitors to the stand had the opportunity to learn about part of the tourist offer of Banja Luka and the Republic of Srpska, thanks to promotional materials provided by the Tourist Organization of Banja Luka and Aurora Plus Group.
The presentation resulted in establishing new contacts and agreements on future visits and international cooperation.
