With an awards ceremony and a concert by the String Orchestra of the National Theatre of Republika Srpska, the 18th “Golden Fairy” International Theater Festival concluded in Prijedor, bringing together theaters from Republika Srpska, Serbia, and Croatia.
The Satirical Theatre “Kerempuh” from Zagreb triumphed as the Best Overall Performance with its play “Death on Leave”, winning eight awards in total — including Best Direction, Best Acting Performance, Best Original Music, Set Design, and Costume Design.

Over five days, audiences enjoyed performances by ensembles from Priština, Kikinda, Belgrade, Banjaluka, and Zagreb. The audience award for Best Performance went to “The Widow of a Living Man” by Zvezdara Theatre from Belgrade.
In its explanation, the professional jury stated that the overall experience of the “Death on Leave” production, through all artistic elements, contributed to a powerful theatrical impression.
“I am especially pleased with the wonderful Prijedor audience, which followed every play with such insight and reacted at just the right moments,”
said Jasna Diklić, the jury president.
The jury also presented two special awards — to Nikolina Friganović for her role in “Masters, Masters” by the National Theatre of Republika Srpska from Banjaluka, and to Pravdan Devlahović for stage movement in “Death on Leave.”
The festival’s closing ceremony was crowned by a concert of the String Orchestra of the National Theatre of Republika Srpska, marking the end of yet another successful edition of the “Golden Fairy” Theater Festival in Prijedor.
